The Sandlot Success
By Margaret Burke and Hadley Wong
The 5th and 6th grade movie night was an amazing experience! Let’s dive into the behind-the-scenes of the night from a student council member's view.
As a student council member, the movie night was a busy yet fun opportunity! Margaret Burke, who worked behind the snack counter, said, “It was a very fun and sometimes stressful night! As soon as people came in, the snack counter immediately flooded with students.” She also commented that “I saw so many happy faces, and everything got in order really quickly! I think everyone got what they wanted, and there was enough for kids to get seconds!” Hadley Wong, who dealt with giving out tickets, counting the money, and giving change, said, “It was so busy, but also, so worth it! My highlight of the night was when I gave a student 16 quarters and a dollar as change for a five!” As you can see, the night was very fun and successful! Now, the perspective of a viewer!
As a student watching the movie, it was exciting to see, and a very funny movie to watch. A lot of laughs were definitely heard throughout the movie as children happily watched The Sandlot. Ava Dziedzic, who was a participant in watching the movie, said, “They chose a good movie, and the environment was relaxing, while still being able to have fun. Also, the food was great!” Another participant, Kayla Scott, said, “It was super fun and a great opportunity for people to interact with their friends and enjoy a great movie!” The students definitely enjoyed the movie, food, and experience. Sounds like the night was a home run! Thanks to Ava and Kayla for providing quotes!
