At the School for Early Learning we are committed to providing a high quality early childhood program for your child. The most current research states that children learn best through hands-on exploration of materials and communicating with peers through play, therefore, The School for Early Learning is a place to explore, create, invent, expand vocabulary, and share with peers in an unpressured atmosphere. The staff strives to make the school a caring place where all children are free to develop according to their talents and needs. Our teachers are early childhood specialists who are partners with parents and we encourage parent involvement and daily communication. With your input, we hope to learn more about the skills and interests of your child and work toward developing a meaningful, age appropriate program.
Misson Statement:
The School for Early Learning provides a learning environment dedicated to meeting the needs of children and their families. The program creates trusting, caring surroundings where each child can grow socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually. Every child is encouraged to explore ways to develop self-esteem, personal responsibility, and become a lifelong learner.
Our Classrooms
Toddler
Preschool 3’s + 4’s
Kinder Prep
Teachers develop the curriculum according to the needs and interests of the child.
Teachers prepare a safe, nurturing environment, where…
- the child is given a variety of experiences and may choose areas of individual interest,
- activities invite play and enrich the mind,
- the child can experiment and take risks,
- the child can experience success and develop a positive attitude of self,
- the classroom is rich with language, and
- Scientific discovery is encouraged.
By providing a variety of multicultural, non stereotyping experiences and materials, we hope to expand the child's awareness of our world.
During the 2025/2026 school year, the SEL 3’s and 4’s preschool and kinder prep programs will be launching the Creative Curriculum for Preschool by Teaching Strategies. The Creative Curriculum for Preschool empowers children to be confident, creative, and caring learners through play-based, hands-on investigations. Creative Curriculum is a research-based approach that incorporates language, literacy, and mathematics throughout the day.
