This week on the Ridge, our third graders participated in the annual Holiday Card Contest! Congratulations to all the contestants and winners, and thank you to The Enterprise for the great photo in the collage above.

Today we also celebrated our Spelling Bee—congratulations to our winners in each grade level (pictured above in the collage)! Thank you to Lynne Phinney and Shannon Bechard for making this an unforgettable event for students!

Looking ahead, we’ll be gearing up for the Ultimate, Ultimate, Ultimate All-School Competition on 12/23. Students will take on in-class challenges across geography, science, ELA, and art. There’s even a surprise prize waiting for the winning class at each grade level when they return from break!

Please remember that PJ pants and hats are not permitted, per our school handbook.

Also, we do not have extra snacks available if students forget theirs, so please be sure to send a snack each day. If your family is in need of assistance with snacks, please reach out to one of our social workers—we’re here to help.

You are welcome to join us on Thursday, December 18 @ 9:00 AM for coffee and donuts for an informal conversation and updates about the Oak Ridge School. We would ask that you RSVP to Mr. Brogioli (kbrogioli@sandwich.k12.ma.us) by Dec. 17 so we have an accurate headcount. Thank you!

We make every effort to get students outside for recess, even as the weather turns colder. Students need to be dressed appropriately with hats, gloves/ mittens, and coats. We still get students outside in snowy conditions, but to play in the snow, we require students to wear snow pants and snow boots.
