World Language Honor Society members visited 6th-grade classrooms, sharing myths and legends from the cultures they study. Leading creative, hands-on activities, it was hard to tell who was having more fun, the students or our presenters! |
Students in science class recently dissected specimen, prepared slides, and explored parts of the lily flower on light microscopes. They were impressed, but not as impressed as they were with special guest, SMHS support dog, Lance, visiting and generously donating his hair & saliva to study as part of the lab!
Thanks, Lance!

This year, SMHS is seizing opportunities for SMHS students to work with younger kiddos and show them firsthand what it means to be a Blue Knight!
So, last Friday, SMHS students retraced their steps across the Oak Ridge recess grounds to build community with elementary students and model positive sportsmanship and inclusivity. It was hard to distinguish who was having more fun: the elementary students or the high schoolers!
