THE BLUE KNIGHT EXPERIENCE

Welcome to Sandwich Showcase
Thank you to all the students, staff, and families who joined us for our annual SMHS SHOWCASE on Thursday evening. The event highlighted the incredible opportunities our school offers and the pride our community takes in learning.

Guests explored programs such as Biomedical Studies, Computer Science, Business, Forensics, and Cybersecurity and toured spaces including our video broadcasting studio, woodshop, and graphic design labs. Visitors also connected with student representatives from academics, athletics, fine and performing arts, media arts and a variety of clubs.

It was a wonderful representation of the talent, creativity, and passion that define the Blue Knight experience. Thank you to everyone who helped make the event a success!

Exploring Law, Ethics, and Community Trust

Students in Mr. Welch's Introduction to Criminal Justice class explore the Digital Witness Project: a hands-on investigation that challenges them to think critically about real-world policing and the community.

Working in teams, students examine incidents and apply the Graham Standard, the legal test used across the country. They assess the severity of the crime, evaluate potential threats, and determine whether the actions were objectively reasonable in the moment.

To deepen their understanding, students also research national and state data. Their analysis incorporates ethical questions, communication, de-escalation opportunities, and community trust.
It's proving to be a thoughtful, challenging, and relevant learning experience for all interested in Criminal Justice and Law Enforcement .

Grade 7 students have been busy turning the middle school’s 2nd floor into a vibrant celebration of Cape Cod! Their Biodiversity of Cape Cod mural will showcase seven unique ecosystems filled with native species — and the students are loving every minute of bringing it to life.
Under the creative guidance of project art consultant (and proud SMHS parent!) Donna Rockwell, this mural is becoming something truly incredible. Special thanks to Ms. Rockwell for helping our students dream big and paint even bigger!
Be sure to swing by and check out the mural the next time you’re in the building! You won’t want to miss it!
