This Week on the Ridge

It's hard to believe we are already one week into November! Thank you to families and educators for connecting during family conferences on Thursday. Friday brought a little Disney magic for our staff spirit day. It was also an amazing first week for the food drive collection, collecting over 679 items for our food drive!

It was such a close race with Grade 4 leading!

Grade 4 - 188
Grade 3 and 6 -both with 167
Grade 5 - 157

Impressive collection in Mrs. Bartleman's class, raising over 118 items!

Honorable mention to Mrs. Hood, Mrs. Handrahan, Mrs. Santoni, Miss Zmuda, and Ms. Fragano, whose classes each collected 45 items!

Congratulations to our Positive Phone Call Home recipients below!

PTA News

The Sugar Plum Fairy Shopping Event is November 23rd!
The holidays are full of magic, and this event might just be the sweetest tradition of all. The Sugar Plum Fairy Shopping Event gives children the opportunity to experience the joy of giving by doing their own holiday shopping—independently.

Here’s how the event works:
Step 1: Bring your child who will get paired with one of our friendly volunteer “shoppers.” Each child gets a one-on-one helper who guides them through the store to choose gifts for family and friends — no parents/guardians allowed (shhh... it’s a surprise!). Please send cash or a check for your child’s shopping. Checks should be made payable to Sandwich Elementary PTA.
Step 2: Children secretly shop from a special selection of affordable gifts ($10 or less), perfect for everyone on their list.
Step 3: Once their shopping is done, our team wraps everything up — ready to go straight under the tree!

Timed Entry for a Smooth Experience:
To help with the flow and keep the magic organized, please arrive during your family’s time window. Gifts will be restocked throughout the day so there will be plenty of fresh and unique inventory to choose from no matter what time you arrive!
  • 12 PM | Last names A–H

Parents/Guardians — grab a coffee, enjoy a quiet moment, and let the Sugar Plum Fairies do the rest.
