Title One

About Title I

Title I, Part A (Title I) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), as amended, provides financial assistance to districts and schools with high numbers or high percentages of children from low-income families to help ensure that all children meet challenging state academic standards. Federal funds are currently allocated through statutory formulas that are based primarily on census poverty estimates and the cost of education in each state. These funds are used to support students demonstrating difficulty in achieving grade-level curriculum goals in the areas of English/Language Arts and Mathematics. Currently, both of our elementary schools receive Title I funds.
