Knight's Theatre Company
Mission Statement:The purpose of Knight's Theatre Company is to encourage student's artistic expression through theatrical work helping students to become more confident actors and people. Our members are actors and theatre technicians, and we strive to have one unified club with actors and technicians collaborating together to put on a beautiful show and meaningful experience. Our members, 7th through 12th graders, will develop people skills and learn about leadership that will stay with them throughout middle school, high school and the rest of their lives. We want our students to feel they are in a safe environment to be themselves, have fun and create!
**To be a part of this dynamic club, you must audition or interview. Fall play auditions are usually in September, and runs from September until November. Auditions for the spring musicals are usually held in December and runs from December to April. Interviews for the KTC Tech crew are held at the same time as auditions for the show. **Depending on the season and the show, we may or may not be able to take everyone that auditions or interviews. Acceptance in the fall production, does not guarantee a role or position on tech crew for the spring production. Each show is cast accordingly for production needs.
Our club takes attendance at every meeting. We meet in either D155 or in the theatre every day from approximately 2:30pm to 5:30pm. Our tech crew meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The advisors and officers are flexible and understand that everyone has different schedules, but we believe that our members should make a commitment to the theatre club in order to create beautiful and impactful theatrical work. Members are only allowed to miss five rehearsals during a run of a show, or we may have to replace them, but every circumstance is a case by case basis, and there are special circumstances which are excused. Students are expected to attend our last tech week rehearsals, sitzprobe, and all performances, if they will miss any of these rehearsals/performances, they should consider auditioning for a future production when their schedule is conducive to successful production needs.

We also ask our members to pay a $40.00 production fee for each show (the fall play and the spring musical) which goes directly into our club’s activities account to help with regular expenditures of our productions for each student: leasing of the show material, paint, make-up, costumes, props, posters, programs, tickets, lumber, etc. Students may or may not need to supply their own costume or costume pieces for either show.
Our club also sells concessions at the theatrical productions. We also sometimes have ad sales, and have a raffle drawing or sell t-shirts. We will continue to expand our fundraisers.
