Kindergarten at Forestdale School
At Forestdale your child will learn science, math and literacy through inquiry and hands-on based practices. This approach allows them to explore and analyze the topics in the curriculum giving them a deeper understanding of what is being taught while meeting all state standards.
In kindergarten, children will be engaged in the writing and reading processes. Your child will have access to current technology and learn to use it in a meaningful way.
We, as kindergarten teachers, believe in teaching the whole child. Through differentiated instruction, we will meet the needs of all learners, academically and socially. Here, at Forestdale, kindergarteners are learning the building blocks to be thinkers, problem solvers and leaders of the future.
We are fortunate to have Kindergarten Aides working alongside students and teachers during the Mathematics and Literacy Instructional times.
“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn” Benjamin Franklin
We look forward to meeting you and your child!
